sample intro paragraph for the "Mysts of Avalon"
Taking care of a younger sibling often leads to resentment. In Marion Zimmer Bradley's "Mists of Avalon", Morgaine is forced to take care of her little brother, the future King Arthur of Camelot. Her mother, Igraine, pushes this undesired duty on her daughter after Morgaine's father is killed in battle against her new father. Igraine leaves her parenting responsibilities to her seven year-old daughter even as the girl stews with anger against her parents. In a close relationship that will change the future of the mythic kingdom of Camelot, Morgaine stifles her fury toward her brother to care for him as a helpless infant.
